All positions have job descriptions and procedure manuals which mean correct methods are consistently communicated. Our Quality Management System specifically states procedures with persons responsible and expected outcomes. Key performance indicators (KPI’s) allow self assessment.
Our Quality Management System external audit is done yearly and internal audits are scheduled every twelve weeks. Specific goals and measurement encourages continuous improvement and highlight areas for attention.

Smith Brothers Group has committed to addressing the environmental issues related to our organisation’s activities, products and services. Our environmental policy includes a commitment to prevent pollution from our activities and operations; continuous improvement and compliance with environmental regulations. We educate our employees and contractors on their environmental responsibilities and ensure this is integrated into their work practices, training and decision making.
We have an Environmental Management System based on Standard ISO: 14001 to identify and control any risks to the environment before they result in harm; with an appointed Environmental Manager and Implementation & Review Team.
Business Eco-efficiency means producing goods and services using less energy and fewer natural resources. This results in less waste and pollution, leading to a reduction in resource costs and environmental impacts. Internationally, ‘eco-efficiency’ has been identified as a way business can contribute to ensuring a sustainable society by ‘doing more with less’.
We have in place a Business Eco-efficiency Plan whereby we have achieved our goal to reduce our impact on the environment by decreasing materials going to landfill by 30% and reducing energy consumption by 10%.
As licensed EcoSmart plumbers, Smith Brothers Plumbing is trained in water audits and in the design and installation of environmentally sustainable plumbing solutions. We encourage and advise on efficient technology and products.

We understand the importance of being a part of our community and contributing to its health. We contribute with donations, sponsorships and with the supply and installation of plumbing components in projects.

Within the office, staff raise money for charities through a casual day every month. Although a small gesture, it nevertheless raises over $1,500 per year. This means that over 20 years, we have raised $30,000 for different charities.
